About Stephen Cohu
I established my antiques business at the beginning of 1994 after having been involved in the accountancy profession for eight years. Initially I shared an art gallery, complementing the pictures with carefully selected antiques. In 1997 I took over the whole premises for my antiques shop which I ran successfully for 7 years.
I gave up the shop in 2004 to deal exclusively with the antiques trade from a warehouse in Jersey. In 2006 the opportunity arose to purchase a tearoom with a flat above in the Jersey countryside. I have turned this into my new shop and am now back dealing with members of the public and the antiques trade. I live on the premises and am open anytime by appointment.
I also participate at antiques fairs in the UK, for example at the NEC, Newark and a specialist glass fair from time to time. I deal in all manner of antiques including furniture, jewellery, paintings, silver, glass, porcelain, pottery and interesting objects. Prices range from £20 to £20,000.
I am an enthusiastic buyer of antiques and articles from or relating to the Channel Islands. My years of experience have allowed me to become one of Jersey's most knowledgeable antiques dealers.
